Rifleman Hogg died of wounds on this day but as yet we have no information as to when and where he was wounded. 3rd King's Royal Rifle Corps were part of 80 Brigade, 27th Division which, during April and May 1915 was engaged in the desperate struggle in the north-east sector of the Ypres salient, which became known as Second Ypres.
